Clutch

This weekend I put my deuce in a fair truck pull. When done, I let the clutch pedal out and it didn't move.
Next morning still wouldn't move. I adjusted the linkage and was able to get it to move and drive it home. I saw the throw out bearing was wanting to spin. Adjusted linkage a bit more and now grinds when try to get it in gear. My ? is... Are the fingers on the pressure plate adjustable to get more pressure on the clutch disc.
OR am I stuck buying a new clutch?

I have never seen a pressure plate that allows you to adjust the fingers.
Having adjusted the linkage, my opinion is that you need a new disc.

Silly questions:

Clutch was questionable before the truck pull?
It smelled like burning clutch while pulling?
Any oil dripping out of the hole in the bottom of the bellhousing?

It might be weak springs in the pressure plate - but if it was my job to do - I suggest all three parts get replaced when you open it up. (C, PP, & ToB)

Never had a problem shifting.
Was smoke coming out from below the truck when pulling.
No on oil dripping from hole. I have read that these fingers are adjustable. Loosen the two nuts and turn center

Four finger type are prone to breaking one of the fingers since they are cast parts. Three finger type are stamped and thus supposedly more durable. If you are in there, might as well replace all three parts as noted above, along with the pilot bushing on the flywheel - one less thing to worry about!

This is the second deuce I've read about in three days that had a drivetrain failure when pulling something probably heavier than it should. Data plates have capacity limits for a good reason, so take it easy and be safe!

I think next time you pull you should bring a 5-ton instead ;)

Much has been written

Just replace renew all the parts and go pull some more.
