I am doing a restomod on my 53, since the original drive train was a solid lump of iron.
I am going to be putting coilovers on the front axle.
My question to you all is as such..

What spring rate should I be looking for??

I have searched the internet and get varied spring rate results from 150lbs to 650+lbs.

My truck will be a mostly daily work truck with weekend off roading. Not rock crawling but not driving threw a mud puddle.

I know the front end of our trucks is 2900+lbs
I just can't make sense of how some companies calculate their spring rates.

If anyone here has coulovers on their front end, could you please chime in and let me know what you have done or tried?!
Thanks all
