The easiest way to convert one is with a parts truck. I can almost guarantee you will have to regear the dana 70 or take the 4.56s out of the front. The rear axle and stuff from a 2WD will work too. Not a difficult job. Of course there is the spacer route for the back but it''s cheezy. Shop on pirate 4x4 for someone wanting to trade dually hubs for singles.

I am

I am converting my m1008 to an m1028a2 soon, I have sourced a bed with dually fenders, a dana 70 drw axle, and dana 60 with drw hubs (I got got the whole axle because it was a good deal. I am not using my dana 70 because I bought an 14 bolt with the 60 for a good price. They are geared to 411 gears. I also have the m1028 springs.
People ask why I am doing the conversion and the best answer i can come up with is....... because I want to.

The later dually pickups used 14 bolts instead a Dana 70. That's what I have under my '67 C-30. There are 3 different width 14 bolt FF rears - SRW, cab and chassis dually, and Dually pickup/short bus.

Yea and the 90's body style are hard to find and expensive up here. The 80's body style are to narrow to use on a box as previously stated
