Converting 2 pin slave to 1 pin

Is there a way to remove the battery cables from a 2 pin slave port? Also, What gauge cable am I working with? Appears to be at least 2-0.

Depends on the style port. I know some ports have terminals with lugs on them that are simply bolted on. Others have a pig tail section of harness on them.

My cables go straight into the old slave port. The new one has bolt on lugs.

If you want to reuse the cables, you'll have to cut them off at the slave port and add lugs then.

Any idea what size cable I am dealing with so I can get the correct lugs?
