Correct M37 Engine Color???

So if the engine originally was grey with black accents, what color is the transfer case and tranny? Black or OD2430?

I had 3 m37 engines and the base color on all three was Chrysler silver not grey

Years back on the G741.org forum, Lifer posted both would also be silver coming out of the factory.

http://www.mseriesrebuild.com/custom_built_engines/custom_built_engines_02.htm So from the factory (before rebuild) the engine, trans, and transfer would be Chrysler silver with the rest of the frame/suspension/axles black? Did they just paint the bumpers OD then?

Here is a couple of photos from my USMC frame off restoration. I used a gray primer and Gray color coat engine paint. Black accessories and steel high temp paint for the exhaust manifold. Its your truck go with what makes you happy.
