I have spent quite a bit of time on the forum and have come to the conclusion that the charging problem for my m1009 lies in the diode trio. My gen 2 light never comes on but if i put that bulb in the gen 1 socket it will work. I have been looking all around for the diode trio for my blazer but none of the auto parts stores have ever heard of a 100 amp for the 27si alternator. I have found some parts online but the parts numbers do not match up with those in the stores. Can anyone help me find a store and part number for the 100 amp diode? If not will an 85 amp work or will it burn up?

My local NAPA can get the parts in a day.

Maybe you have a good alt rebuilder in your area?
