CUCV glow plug dropping resistor

My M1009 came from the INARNG with the resistor bypassed however this creates problems for the single battery and alternator that now runs them. I just am getting tired of the alternator belt squealing after I start the truck as it tries to quickly recharge the battery after it runs the plugs and the starter motor. I would like to put the resistor back into service but want to test it first so my question is what is the correct resistance across the two red wires?

Another question I have is what is the NSN for the glow plug for the HMMWV with the 6.2? I noticed that Saturn Surplus has a set of 8 for $65 which is pretty good though I would have to probably stick an extra resistor and zener diode somewhere on the glow plug controller board to make them work.
