Have a 1986 CUCV Blazer. Cable coming from blue to red running along firewall has to have power to power vehicle. When I hook it up to battery post the horn blows. It can blow very loud depending on battery post that I hook it up too. What doesthis cable hook up to?

The cable you are referring to is the main power feed for the 12v systems in the truck.

You either have a bad horn button or a bad diode on the back of the horn relay.

The horn circuit is hot at all times. The horn button closes the ground circuit for the relay to engage.

Many members have had similar symptoms and just remove the diode on the back of the relay. Did you read any of the similar threads that are listed at the bottom of the page?

The blue wires are fusible links... they work like fuses... you really need to start at the CUCV helpfull threads pages (http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?123199-CUCV-Helpful-Threads) and read some of them... ie... Go to the second page of the FAQ thread http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?20600-FAQ-Thread-for-CUCV-s/page2 and down load the "CUCV Common Maintenance Items.PDF" I posted there. Print it in color... it has many circuit diagrams with most of the wires color coded. You'll note on circuit drawing F-9 the hot terminal of the front battery runs to the - terminal of the rear battery and then to the engine wiring harness block (this is the same on the civie versions of this era of GM truck). Then from that block it runs to the fuse block and other stuff like the alternator...

If you don't have The TM's you can get them here: http://www.jatonkam35s.com/jatonkaCUCV-TMdownloadpage.htm
