CUCV. Speedo removal?

Any hints or kinks on removing the Speedo cable from the back of the gauge
having a little trouble doing it blind

There is a tab that retains the cable you have to push in as you pull the cable out of the gauge.

Very Carefully. The push lock can bind on the cable if the cable is pulled hard. Trick is push in on cable while pushing in on retainer. It is an angular push style retainer. Good Luck report back.
