I finished the first phase of building my custom bumper, now that the shop is slowing down and we have time to "goof" off. The next step is to build the brush guard, in which i'll go scavenge the steel for after lunch. What ya think? Not bad eh?

It's built out of a piece of heavy gauge (1/2) rectangle tubing. I notched, cut and modified to get the shape and opening I wanted. I can't decide if I will incorporate the brush guard into the headache rack or not, kinda like a "Brush Truck".

Wow, that's beefy! It make the already impressive bridge truck look even more intimidating. Excellent fabwork Steve. Any thoughts of putting it into production?

That would be just the ticket for a big bobbed-deuce. Maybe John Tonka or Dave Newman would be interested in slapping them on their models?

Probably about 5 hours...but now I know exactly where to slice and bend ( I saved my measurements) so I could fab one in 3 hours. That wouldn't count installation.

That's really nice work, a great improvement for winch clearance. I think you could indeed sell them! Like the man said, it is beautiful, industrial art.

I'm all for beefy bumpers, even on smaller trucks. I am alive now because of this one I designed and had built. -and it didn't really get bent up. Unfortunately I lacked the means to remove it from my destroyed van. I walked away from that accident because of that bumper and certainly some help from above.

The offending K-car was shredded.
