Went for a drive today. Man I think I've enjoyed driving this thing more than any other MV I've owned. Have a few little things to tend with, the LED for the main switch has stopped working. I'm guessing the 24v rating is not really 24v! I've got more switches on order. I'm going to add a resistor to the ground lead side of them as it doesn't appear that these LEDs have any sort of resistor in them. I've still got a few more little things to iron out here and there. But it seems like it's good to go now.

I changed the oil today. (No telling how old the oil was that was in it.) Luckily nothing in the filter. I also converted to a spin on filter.

Nice upgrade to the spin on adaptor...seeing the rolled up style id say it hasn't been changed in a long while....i still have some cartridge style i use....also make sure you check and top up your fluid flywheel!!! Very important...

Fluid flywheel was topped off before I even drove it. The transmission oil has been changed too. I'll be checking it again in a bit though. Need to finish the fuel tank cleanout to get that back in place. The makeshift boat fuel tank blocks the FF check point.

I started throwing in a VIC-1 intercom system today. Some of the mounts align perfectly. I had to make a backing plate to grab two of the studs though for the main unit. But station units mounted to a few of the exisitng studs.

Life has been crazy lately. I work for a hospital and we've been dealing with Coronavirus. Not only that, but we've had to lay off 1080 employees and cut hours for 1800 more. So my May has been turbulent to say the least. I did finally get the intercom working and went out for a drive with my youngest this last sunday to town. I'm still dealing with minor issues here and there. This morning I actually drove it to have breakfast with my friends. I think I need to pull the fuel pressure regulator out of the circuit and run it straight. Not much power on top end. (Struggles up hills) And choke doesn't seem to make a difference.

Funny, a lot of folks buy open top Ferrets and want a turret, then the others buy one with the turret and scrape it off. Reminds me of some ladies I've known where the ones with curly hair are paying big bucks to have it straightened while the straight hair ones are having it curled.
Looks like you've made good progress on your vehicle and are having fun with it. I just picked up one myself to console myself for taking so long restoring my CVR(T). What are you using for fluid flywheel oil that's available in the states? So far the closest thing I've found is some CNC mill spindle oil.

Got a little more work today. (Great outlet to get away from a computer screen during these times!) I installed a boat fuel tank inside the hull out of some scrap angle I had laying around. Prior to that, I had just a gas tank strapped to the rear fender. Getting closer to having the carb dialed in now too. But I did get out and put a few miles on it today. Everything seems to be in working order now. Also Jack apparently has claimed the ferret as his own.
