One of the best ways to clean a muddy truck is to either: A. park in a river or stream where it is KNOWN by you to have a solid bottom and let it rinse. I knew of spots where we could get up alot of speed and wash the underneath quite well. or B. (usually a better option) hook a sprinkler onto the end of a garden hose, turn it on and let it run. It will soften the mud and make it far easier to clean. No matter what, the brakes and bearings (bare minimum) need to be serviced.

Yep! that's the way !!! Rinse, repeat. Rinse, repeat. Until satisfactory results are achieved. Then the real work begins.

A general rule of thumb with heavy equipment(which for all practical purposes these trucks are) is that whatever you get stuck it will take two machines of equal or greater power to pull out.,,,, AND cables or chains make really nasty sounds when they snap.
