Dome Light Fuse

Thanks for the replies. I have installed a fuse block to drive my accessories and needed to know the been fuse rating to handle the dome light. I am using 14 ga. wire from the fuse block to the light and was not considering an internal fuse in the light. It has two bulbs so I assume a 5 amp fuse would be appropriate.

It is also switched so that you can only run one light at a time. I have one in each of my trucks. Even the one in the CUCV is running 24V.

Tin, You're not trying to protect the lamp, you're trying to protect the wire, should you have a ground fault (dead short). As Kenny indicated, you can only turn one lamp on at a time. Install whatever is handy, but I wouldn't go any lower than 5 Amp, and no bigger than a 15 Amp.
