Just a update. My repair broke. I tried.

So I cut a new lever out and things are all better.

Also tried to order new ones with no luck. Guess the new kits are all sold out ?

I did the same thing and it's been working great.

I stock those plastic pieces, and they are white now. However they are expensive little buggers. There was also someone who had those lever pieces cast. I'm working on a billet steel replacement.

I remember reading the thread but don’t remember the title of the thread. IIRC the person made some but do to people not wanting to pay for his efforts only made one batch. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

If anyone is looking for the oldstyle I have a NOS set I was saving for spares. Since I'm trying to sell the truck they're available. I doubt spare door handles will make or break a sale.

NOS handles. I bought 2 sets when they were available.

Unfortunately yes. I have Multiple Sclerosis which is why I switched from the deuce to the LMTV. Unfortunately shifting and steering aren't the only considerations. It's getting to the point where it's difficult for me to even get in and out of the truck so rather than let it melt into the driveway I figured I ought to sell it. No takers so far.
