Dual circuit brakes

Ok, ive been reading a ton on this and everyone has all of these ideas, but they seem so complex.
Is there a reason why I couldnt just buy a dual circuit MC and bolt it to the single air pack thats already there. just replace the MC thats there with a new one..
Then just run one line to the front and one line to the back.?

in reality the MC on the airpack is the master cyl, the one on the pedal is just for controlling it. of course if either one fails you have no brakes. dual brakes is not complicated, it is just two of everything you now have only one of. probably the simplest way is to change the primary MC to dual and add another airpack. this is what the mil did to the air force trucks. of course the braking pedal pressure will still be really high as it is now on a stock truck. there are several creative ways to change this but that gets into reengineering the whole system.
