Electric Horn

Hi ive has my deuce for awhile and the horn has never worked but today I got curious and took the horn button part and found the wording the steering colum was broken. I took it apart and fixed it and still nothing. I know the horn works straight off the batteries but not when hooked up to the button. Any ideas?
