Anyone know of an engine cradle that would work well for wheeling around a complete power pack in the shop? Check out the pic. I'm looking for something similar. Currently my engine/trans/tcase is just sitting on its side on two crushed pallets. I hope to start getting it cleaned up and ready for install this spring.

Get two furniture dollys from harbor freight and screw a sheet of plywood the size of the motor. You probably wont ever need to use it again after the install, and this set up is on the cheap.

Shopping carts. Cut the top basket off with about 8-10 " left in the uprights. The posts will hold the manifold area perfect. If you have a specific combo, just measure when you cut. How you end up with the cart is your business. Been using them for decades.

Hi

How about something like this?
web 2-8 Beast Rebuild Camera 019.jpg

Made these up as storage/test stands for the engines on my CMPs. More information on my CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) web page

Has a plug in instrument panel and radiator mountings. So much easier to move engines around now have six of them. Mounts are adjustable so will also take 1000lbs V8s. Also useful for moving full axle assemblies.

Cheers Phil
