Esmet Clevis Plug Replacement

Reaching out for a bit of advice...

I am in the process of replacing my winch cable. Contacted Esmet and was pointed to my local distributor. Ordered a replacement plug (had to buy six to make the minimum) and I recived a very different style (as seen in the picture). I called Esmat and they assure me that the new plug will work in my original clevis.

Anybody have any experience with this new style being used in an old clevis?

Looks like it dosent even have the groves for the cable. I just reused my old one. sorry i cant help

the TM says do not reuse, that being said, I would guess it gets reused more then replaced in and out of military service with good results
