Maybe the "search" function is failing me (er...as usual...) but I can't find any old threads that include a reference to a TM (or whatever) showing an exploded view of the 5-ton MC. Anyone know what TM covers MC rebuilding for the 5-ton?
The basic assembly is familiar, but there's this no-apparent-purpose washer-like piece that's clamped on to just one end of the spring...which end IS that? Do we think it matters? There's nothing for it to seal against, and it's got a pretty big holes in it if it's intended as any kind of restrictor.
