This past week we picked up a 1990 2-door HMMWV at the Texas Facilities Yard.
Drives good, our guys drove it from San Antonio to our station, a 3 hour drive.
We plan on turning it into a "light" brush truck, with a small water tank and pump.
Our mechanic chose this one based on the engine/drivetrain condition, fluids, etc. and it has a winch.
Plans are to get a "hard" top and doors, a spare tire, etc.
Downloaded all the TM's and such, we've been running and maintaining our Deuces since the early 90's, so hopefully this isn't too much of a challenge.

Been on here since 2005, thanks for all the past help & advice.

Interesting "tallback" setup on that one. If you don't end up needing any of that, maybe you can trade it for a poly tank? Depending on your water load, the heavier springs from a shelter carrier may help with increasing your GVW.
