got my 50A wired in and put a 75% load on the 803A water heater and 2HP well pump alone did the trick. Ran the well pump 30 minutes strait while watering my lawn. Check out these crispy critters that came out, felt like it was hailing when I walked around the unit- lol. As everyone said the blue smoke cleared once the oily yuck burned out of the exhaust. They must run these units at really light loads as everything I see on IP has sludge leaking from the manifold.

That's not bad!! When the pieces are as big as a quarter, then its big. Be careful of doing this if it's real dry outside. It can and has started a fire.

Howdy,

Guy is right. :p

They were built to run 24/7. Put a good 4-8 hours of hard load on that unit. It will clean it up and run better.

Don't forget to check the oil in these units if you plan on running it a long time. Like in the case of my MEP-002A, the oil helps cool the engine as well, so when it is to the full mark, that is more cooling the engine has. Just my $.02 as preventative maintenance.

I need to put my MEP-002A on a good load as well. Maybe i'll have it power my house for a little bit and see if it can run the AC. That should make it grunt.
