Fuel burning heater calibration

I'm showing a simplified fuel calibration procedure here. In earlier posts I have had the fuel control valve removed for calibration, which may not always be so easy.

Attach an extension to the outlet of the control valve (instead of the connection to the combustion chamber), which you will run into a collection jar. A flask is shown in the image below.
Next, remove the igniter connection and you are ready. Hold the start switch in "Start" to run the pump and the fan for one minute and measure the amount of fuel collected.

One adjustment screw for the Stewart Warner. It sets both, by adjusting the pressure regulating diaphragm common for both solenoid valves. If "LO" is within range, so should the "HI" be.
The Benmar has two diaphragms and two adjusting screws are placed so that one screw driver turns both at the same time...
