Fuel Filter Leak

OK, my son and I have an '85 M1008. After fixing several electical problems, the fuel filter started leaking. We replaced the filter, but the bugger is still leaking, although not as much. The leak looks like it's coming from the back where the base fits into the filter, not around the vacuum sensor. The clamps are tight. Any ideas on how to stop the leak? Anything we can put on the O rings to ensure an air tight seal?

Futz with it and hope for the best or replace it. It's a known potential problem
