It was a cold day today in Kansas and finally got to try my fuel fired heater and Kats 1500 heater in my M52A2 - both are worth their weight in gold! What a difference in comfort from the coolant heater I've been using for years. I've had several fuel fired kits for years and for some reason never installed one.
Come summer, it will be time for an a/c unit!

Hi

These units have always interested me because of their instant heat output. Been considering one for my HUP as low modification way of real heat.

My only experience was a housemate back in collge who had a Corvair with Eastwind gas heater, cold winter in New Hampshire many days well below "0". Could always tell when he left for class in the morning there would be roar followed by load bang as it lit off. There would also be a black scorched spot on the drive, don't think it was adjusted correctly. But boy would heat that little cars interior.

Cheers Phil

I have a complete NOS M35a2 arctic bed heater kit which uses this heater. Very rare, PM if you wish to buy it. Still in wood crate.

I got one of those around here somewhere,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Maybe one of these -20*F days I will get it installed.....

They really make a difference..... All kidding aside, I have one on all my equipment except the 36000 lbs yard ornament known as the M816 wrecker. That 855 laughs at you for starting at anything under 65*F

So far this winter it has only been -6. I so hope that's as low as it gets! Today its in the 40's and I'm loving it.

About 2 weeks ago, I put new wires and ignition on my M35 gasser - it started right up on that -6 day.
