Fuel Pressure Gauge for FM100 head...which port?

Hello All,

A quick question. What would be the preferred port on the Stanadyne FM100 filter head to put a fuel pressure gauge on?

Inlet into the filter head or outlet out of the filter head to the IP? With an electric fuel pump would you see accurate fuel pressure readings after the filter to the IP?

This is strictly a pressure gauge with no vacuum function.

Thanks...

You should always put the gauge on the outlet of the filter. This way you know your injection pump is receiving the fuel pressure needed. It also lets you know when the filter needs cleaning or replacing.
