Is there a proper way to test a mechinal fuel pump prior to installing it? Current pump did not work, removed and overhauled with a neoprene rebuild kit. When I activate the lever I can not feel any suction, however ,I am not sure if I need to plug both input and output? Do I need to plug the vacum lines. I have an AC 1523817, mounts to a hercules engine
