Fuel shut off solenoid Bad?

Bump...I just started having same issue. Mine will shut off about 5p-10 seconds after key is off. I am going to try the "clean the plunger" route and let you know.

How did cleaning the plunger work for the delayed shut off issue? Mine did the same thing, 10 seconds or so but only once. It's been fine since but may need a cleaning. When I toggle the switch on and off I hear the mechanism moving....

wow that's years old and I don't know what thread that was from. It worked fine and it's still working fine. It could just have been a piece of dust or something, if it doesn't do it again then smile and leave it be. You can also tap them to free them up if they stick.
