If I use some JP-8, do I need to add anything for lubrication? It is listed on the fuel filler housing, so maybe it will be fine as is?

Don't know where you are going to get it from, but JP8 is "the good stuff".
You won't need any fuel additives.

JP-8 has enough additives to not be an issue. It's what we ran all of our trucks on in my unit since we had lots of it for the helicopters (and as far as I know the entire military runs everything on it)
