Gear Reduction Starter?

New guy here! I recently picked up a HMMWV with an NA 6.5 that needed tons of work, and I am currently needing to replace the starter. Would a gear reduction starter that is available for the cucv fit? I am aware of the extra support bracket and am well prepared to rework the cables, but I read somewhere about potential clearance issues with the manifold?
