Generator gauge not at white line

I have a 94 998 a1 with the 6.5 I have a 200 amp generator and on my volt gauge it's not on the white line. It's right before it it stays in the green but not on the white line like it should any help would be great

Check your voltage with engine running using a multimeter.

Might not be the gauge. Generators have adjustability.

Just kidding. With 95% of the trucks having the 60amp unit, I made a bad assumption. Check the TM?

There is no adjustment on the 200 amp...its fixed
the gauges don't read exact...the 60 amp can be dialed in.
just start the truck and check at the batteries...will be 27.5 to 28.5.
just needs to be a few volts above 25 or so volts.

Let me add, I have 3 or 4 trucks with 200amp gens installed, none of them sit on the white mark...normally below or above.
