Wasn't sure at first where to park this post (Armor? GermanWWII?). And only found one other post for "Kubelwagen".
Found all this when looking into the Fielseler Storch flown by Rommel.
Never heard anything about these myself until then:
During his North Africa operations, Generalfeldmarschal Rommel's 'Special' workshop produced a number of unconventional vehicles for strategic proposes.
One of these was the Kubelwagen, camouflaged as a light tank.
The Kubelwagen's shape was perfect to be "transformed" into a light tank , thanks to a light wooden cage covered by a sheet:
· Also a piece of timber to appear as a 2cm cannon
· A board was dragged behind the Kubelwagen to create a dust cloud, like that from a tank's tracks.
All these features helped a simple Kubelwagen appear from a distance to be a PzII.
