Haldex air purge issue

Hi all,
A problem popped up with my low miles 5 ton m925a2. I get "puffs" out my Haldex "auto-purge" air filter. It first happened at startup, then during a five mile drive. Both times I pushed up on the blow valve to get the truck home.
Questions- should I spray lube it with WD-40 silicone spray or equivalent lubricants? If not, do I take it apart and clean, or how do I get a rebuild kit and what do they cost? Thanks all for any help, is this a common issue?

its likely in the governor on top the air compressor had one do that to me last weekend on an old peterbuilt as I was 20 miles out of town. I fixed it with penetrating oil and a little cleaning. airbrake systems normally use a special grease, which is why alcohol is not a good idea unless it is an emergency. once the lube is off the rubber parts they wont slide anymore

probably since the governor is on the firewall it isn't that. He had to push the purge valve back up to make it close. it is just sticking open. Take the cover off, take the snap ring out, pull the whole thing out. Clean the crud. install a new Oring and reinstall it with some grease. It is typical of a truck that isn't driven. Low miles on a truck is actually bad for it. DRIVE IT atleast 20 to 30mi a week.

Thanks to all. I'll pop the snap ring off and check the spring and o-ring. I'm old school, so I'll use Vaseline for a lubricant. I hate to overthink this it's not a Jaguar it's a nice proven machine. Thanks to all and good luck on your machines.
