Alright I'm back again. I got a little more skilled with electrical work and I figured I'd finally try taking a crack at my blower motor. So Ijust have a few questions to start. This is in an m1097 I have the old style motor with the grounding post and the single cannon plug. I tried a few things already I turned my truck on and set the blower switch to high and got 15 volts of current assuming I know how to use my multimeter when I switch it to low I get OL on the reader, thats one issue. My second issue is I just decided to try bypassing the truck and throwing the motor straight to the battery. I attached a ground wire to the truck, and the hot wire directly to the front battery which should output 24v since its the primary on the slave. I did this on both my spare motor and the one in the truck and neither spin. I presume this means I have two bad motors?

Well... Based on you being able to use your multi-meter and removing the blower motor and going directly to the battery - Yes, they both appear to be bad.

Do you know if the newer model blower motor with the extra temp wire can be installed in replacement of this or do I need to track down the old model which I keep seeing for triple the price? I have a 6.5 NA 1097r2 with a 3 speed for reference. It also has the 3 way high low toggle switch and the two push pull knobs for control.
