Helmet Hardtop Question

Going to be a warm Texas day. Putting my hardtop on this weekend. Bought the parts from Amertech. Have basic instructions from website but not detailed. Have 1 piece of rubber from gasket set I don't know about. Possibly it gets cut in half and closes the top windshield gap on the end weld areas. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure about that piece but you may want to have another tube of caulking if that was in the kit, it could be many years old.
