Help identify part please

Hello,

I was cleaning out the bed of my new to me Deuce and found something I wasnt sure what it is. It is in the picture below. It is roughly 16" long and the one end has a lock nut. Thanks for any help.

Looks to me like the rod that is used to hold the rear bedsides stable on the drop side beds.

It does have drop sides. How does it stable the drop sides?

I don't have a drop side, but there was a thread a little while ago asking about the differences of the troop seats for the drop sides. A quick search of "dropside seats" found this

Below is a picture of the rod in your question from that thread.

it hooks from the rear top of the dropside down into the bed at the rear, at about a 45 degree angle. Should be one on each side at the back.

Thanks for the info. It looks like I need to get one more of them so that I have a complete set. It isnt no show stopper but is someone has a spare let me know.
