Just thinking out loud, but what one of y'all should do with your "Cadillac" V-100, is just when you're bored, drive it over to the local dealership, pull in to the service entrance, and ask'em how much for an oil change?
Got a buddy with a Caddy dealership over in Ft. Bend Co, who wants me to do that with the Dragoon when it's finished. Told'em we can't since it ain't a Caddy.

B3,,, I know. Tried telling that to Cadillac Buddy, but he's behind me right now, giggling madly at the thought of what the service techs would say or do when confronted with a vehicle like the V-100/150 with the "Cadillac" name in any way associated with it.

Haven't tried the dealership angle, but the V side door is just the right height to conduct business at the Dairy Queen drive-through. I promised my kids they could do it, having previously taken them to Sonic in a buddy's M8 Greyhound.
One of the highest compliments my daughter ever gave me was saying, "Daddy, you are a very silly man!".
Been looking forward to seeing this Dragoon of yours ever since Robert told me you got it!

Here's a couple of teaser picts with Ric in one to give an idea of proportion. Don't want to steal another's thread. I'll do a thread on it in the future. Right now it's at Earl's getting the once over etc. Even though it's the most expensive of our vehicular toys, it's also the lowest priority.
It WAS the highest, when a client down in the valley with a REALLY REALLY big ranch, (they'd be the KING at Dairy Queen) wanted it immediately, for their Game Wardens. Now, they still want it, but they got some MRAPS from Uncle Sugar and a couple more vehicles (Rookiats?) from S.A. and Kenya. So priority has dropped:

Putting aside the everything is bigger in Texas,,,,, There are quite a few EXTREMELY Large ranches here, that trace their ownership back to original Spanish Land Grants, pre-Texas Revolution, and statehood.
NO CONSPIRACY THEORISTS HERE PLEASE... THIS IS COMPLETELY LEGIT.
Several of those both in South Texas and in Northern Texas, are operating under a U.N. Charter, (in addition to their normal daily ranch operations) to raise Endangered African Species. They are brought over here, herds are created and then shipped back to Africa. The Kenyan and South African Governments supply the game wardens (operating with DEE PLO MATIC IMMUNITY) to protect these animals (and co-incidentally the rest of the ranch) from Poachers, Druggies, Illegals etc.
The problems they have been having along the entire border, are compounded when you are talking about ranches that have literally tens of thousands of acres, and up to 50 miles of contiguous property along the Rio Grand Valley.

Sounds like six flags over texas...You know large herds just wondering about...Lots security to protect the herds...Wait ...That's us ...Oh well, sounds like a lot of money changing hands....Do they charge for hunting trips on the ranch....Nice looking rig you have there.

As a matter of fact they do. Just not for the Endangered Animals. However, All over South TX, Central TX(Hill Country) and to a smaller extent Northern TX, there are a huge number of ranches that have what we call "EXOTIC" Game. These are species of animals not indigenous to Texas that were brought in. Including Black Buck Antelope, Various Species of Deer, etc. Big Controversy right now, because some of THOSE species are now endangered in their home countries, and almost as numerous as Feral Hogs here in Texas. But Pantywaist Politicians want to put a halt to their hunting here because they're endangered over there.
The Kenyan and South African Game Wardens PRIMARY job is to work with the animal husbandry. When this project was started back in the 70's, Illegals and Drug Smuggling was not the problem it is today. These same criminals have no problems with cutting fences, contaminating wells and tanks, or Killing the endangered species either for food while they are involved in their activities or for poaching same as in Africa. So the security aspect has only come to the forefront in recent times.
These ranches also have large normal everyday staff, all American. On some of these ranches they are the only employers in the entire county, (they are the county) and in some cases the same families have worked for the ranch for 5/6/7 Generations. The additional (American) security staff (as I understand it, but I could be wrong) are also given the Diplomatic Immunity while working at the ranch.

Law, particularly common law, is all about precedent. If you have a land grant from a country older than the USA, then you are in the USA exactly as much as you want to be. The USA can either peaceably coexist with you or can choose to go to war with you and forcibly annex you, but it is not sovereign on your property unless you allow it to do so.
That's why Indian gambling casinos are legal in states where they are otherwise illegal - the first nations predate the foundation of the US government, so the US has exactly as much legal influence there as the native government allows it to have, unless the US decides to make another forcible relocation or annexation.
