High engine cranking speed with new batteries

I recently installed a pair of new 6TL batteries from NAPA in my truck and the cranking speed is really fast now, almost too fast. Is this normal? It almost seems like the motor lost half of its compression all of a sudden. It feels like I am cranking the engine with the injectors out or something similar. What is the ideal cranking speed with good batteries for a healthy multifuel deuce engine? I do not remember this engine cranking so fast even with fresh batteries.

Does it run normal when it does crank? My engine turns over fast with OEM starter. If and when that gives out I'm going with a gear reduction starter for the express purpose of turning it over faster. Sounds like you had a battery with a weak cell for a while.
