HMMWV dip stick tube oil filler tube

By looking at this pic, is the oil filler tube broke off in the motor, or is this actually what the new filler tube goes into? Also, if it's broken off, is it threaded, or can I just pull it out? 1998 M1097 3 speed 6.5L.

That is where the dipstick tube goes, it looks like it may have just been removed, the oil fill is on the front of the motor

Lol..thanx...I said oil "Filler" tube didn't I. I meant dip stick tube. I have old age...which is better than old AIDS.
