Agreed. Unfortunately, the last army goober who worked on it, jacked it up. It may have been done on purpose, so they could turn it in for a new truck. In any case, it wasn't a quick find. I just decided to check wiring while I was disconnecting items to see what might be causing the issue. It took some digging. I was losing my patience last week, until Cam at Camotek stepped up and helped me focus.568 was a left over from the 60A alt days and should have been plugged (capped) off and tied back to the harness.
