Hmmwv power steering squealing help needed

88 hmmwv power steering staring squealing occasionally now it's constant and steering is very hard. I checked the fluid and its was a little low, so I added some and it helped a bit. I went through the bleeding procedure with a small amount of improvement. Am I missing something? Is the PS pump bad?

I forgot to mention when parked and I apply the brakes hard, the truck makes the same squeal.

I was leaning that way myself. But why the squealing brake pedal?

If it is squealing, that is more likely the belt, meaning the pump is not spinning freely. Adding fluid and bleeding was a good starting point, the next is to check the pump (as you mentioned).
