Hi Guys,

I am going to make a Spindle Nut Socket, as they are hard to get and expensive with shipping ($60), English Taxes (20%) and Royal Mail handling charge ($10). Yes, another Tea Party would be nice

I've got most of the critical dimensions from measuring the Spindle Nuts, but need the depth inside the socket and also the depth of the prongs that engage the slots in the Spindle Nuts.

Many thanks,

Sarah

I bought a generic spindle nut socket, I think it was for Ford, and just had to grind off one of the nubs for it to work. It isn't as "secure" as the proper tool but for the 4 times I had to use it, it worked.

Sarah,

I don't know where Warwick is in the UK but Jon did this same job a while back. Here's a link to his post: https://forums.g503.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=223659&p=1313374&hilit=hmmwv+spindle+nut#p1313374

Here's a link to Amazon UK that you might find helpful:

When you know the correct size they may be able to help you.

is this correct, the Performance Tool W1272 (for Toyota) will do the Job on the Humvee single and/or dual notch spindle nut?
in that linked Amazon page they also sell other Ford and GM spindle nut tools...
