Also the thermostat is designed for the gasser. For those wanting heat on a budget, you can buy NOS M151 heaters (box, blower and core only) from Sam Winers in OH for around $49. Just plumb in power and hot water and you're making heat. Add a second one for more heat! Only limited by the money you have to spend and the heat your Multifuel can generate. The NOS insulation kits make a huge difference but are difficult to find if you can. They come with really cool canvas shift boots. I have the boots (Ebay $55) on my tractor. Another idea is to take the foam sleep mats and make floor panels with them for the winter time. You can glue magnets to the mats and make a decent difference for not much money.</font id="Comic Sans MS">[/3]</font id="green">

I'm sold out of the NOS complete kits, but a good portion of one of my storage containers, the long one, is loaded with heater parts. There's ducts, the main heaters, defletors, all kinds of stuff. Although several kits could be made up, I don't have the time, so if anyone needing a kit is in my area wanting a heater, stop by and fill a box with what you need. Many of the items are NOS. If you need certain items, let me know and I'll figure a price and UPS.

I've obtained the heater kit and am now left to interpret the single page diagram which was included for instructions. <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_pissed.gif" alt="Pissed">

Does anyone have advice/tips/tricks as to how to best proceed with the installation?

R4x4,

You mentioned the thermostats were for gassers. I have here the part # for the one which came with my kit. It reads 7998568 ,stamped on it AC DELCO 63 and 180 degrees on the bung. And all of my boxes are dated 1986. Shouldnt that be for a Multifuel??? Didnt they stop making the gassers in the early 70's??
