Progun good luck on your recovery.

I will say change all these items before leave
1. Air Filter easy
2. Spring Vents on axles easy
3. Check belts have replacements
4. Change the radiator cap
5. Check oil (mine was overfilled)
6. Check brake fuild
7. LUBE AIRPACK takes 5 mins to pull off J and squirt air tool oil in there
8. Drain filters in empty water bottle
9. Add 10 gallons new diesel
10. Check tire pressure (all mine were at 5-10)
11. Spray lubricate on controls lines going into Injector pump

If you have any doubt about the brakes it not worth risking your life.

If you have time
1. check axle gear lube oil
2. check trans and transfer case gear oil (need 1/2 drive wrench non rachiting "i can't spell" buy the one at Sears)
3. Grease fittings
4. check for operational lights and horn

If this is your first deuce it will be hard to do all these things quickly.

BE SAFE, every has family and friends on public roads.
