It seems half of what we do here is brag about our favorite trucks. Well here I go.

I have owned several deuces and a few 5 tons, but with out a dout my M886 is now my favorite ride. I have posted pictures of it on the following thread:

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/m880/32009-starsky-hutch-dead.html

and I don't have anything to add here but I have to say I really like the truck. I plan to drive it to every event I attend from now on out (like we all don't feel that way about what ever we have a tag on). It's really odd, but every time I get in it, something else works. Lights keep coming to life. The alternator started working. The turn signals didn't work because the lever was hanging loose. It was just a loose screw :-D. It starts and runs great. Breaks work great, gas tank works now. I installed a volt meter. I guess I could take a picture of that. I have even taken it in some mud. I will never love another deuce. Here is a list of things I like about the M886 (it's also worth noting I learned to drive in a 72 dodge D200 with a 340, 4 barrel):

V-8 :-D
Automatic :-D
Quiet :-D
Full time 4WD
Tubeless tires :-D
MP3 CD player (OK, I put that in)
Armrest on the doors :-D
I'll stop here before everyone looses interest.

Chrysler may be bankrupt, but I'm now a Dodge man!!

#1 reason, all the parts are at your friendly NAPA parts store. I feel the same way about my M890, I sold my M886 off several years ago hated the blind spots. It had a red and white paint also. When I got it, also had "South Johnson County Fire" , left the Johnson and added a BIG!!
