I'm wondering what this mount is for...

Hello all!

I thank all the members of this site who contribute so much great information and guidance! It really helped me research my first military vehicle purchase!

I won an M923A2 Wednesday on GP. It was located in Springfield, IL and I drove it home (about 150 miles) Friday. What an absolute blast!

My question though... does anyone know what this mounting bracket used for?

Unless you really want a radio in your truck, the complete radio mounts are something good to bang your elbow on and make it a pain every time you want to gain access under your seat. I've already removed several out of trucks I bought.

Thank you all for responding so quickly! I removed it Saturday morning. From the looks of Mike's picture, I'm missing a lot more of the mount. Wow!

I'll try to post some pics tonight of what shape the rest of the truck is in.

Thanks again,

Brian
