Info Needed on My Ride - PSI MB4 Monster Conversion

I picked up a 1989 PSI Mobile Products MB4 at auction for scrap price (I could have bought 2, and now wish I would have). I bought it with the intent of keeping the Perkins 236T for a farm spare engine, and using the axles for a full size chevy on tractor tires. However, once I got it home it was too cool to completely scrap. It took a fuel pump rebuild to get it going, but it has run perfect ever since.

At one point a number of months ago, I came across a web page for PSI Mobile Products, but recently have not been able to find it again. I have been looking for a service manual on-line with little luck. I was hoping to contact PSI directly and try to purchase one.

Has anyone here dealt with PSI before, or know how to reach out to them?

They seem to have been absorbed by NMC Wollard. How does that thing do in the slop? I have one of those here that needs to go away.

Thanks for the info. Any idea how long ago they were bought up? I could have swore I found a PSI website a year or so ago.

It does pretty good in the mud (since it went on a 5000 lb diet). My brother-in-law and I run a invitational mud run three times a year, and the plan was to use this as a recovery vehicle. I turned up the pump, and opened up the intake and exhaust so it actually scoots pretty good for a 4 cylinder. And with the larger tires it will go 30 mph pretty comfortably. The doors will go back on it for the winter and we will have some fun with it in the snow.

Do you have a PSI version, or a different MB4? Does it run? What are you looking to get out of it?

I think the PSI Mobile Products name disappeared about 10 years ago. Mine is the exact same as yours. Air Force has been retiring it's fleet of those. Mine ran a few years ago. $2K.

If you were closer, I would likely go for that. It would cost me $500 in fuel.

Really wishing now I had taken the option on the second one here. I bought mine for half what you are asking.

Thanks again for the info.
