you bet. First do a search on the forum. You are talking to the king or crank here. If you don't know what your doing with a multi you will burn that engine to the ground! and that's not a joke!

Search is your friend...several of the posts on this subject have great images and information on what to do/not to do.

Get a pyrometer...install it...learn how to read/use it. Watch your EGTs, increase in small increments, and have fun!

Consider consulting a certified diesel mechanic before doing this...if you have one available at reasonable cost (beer). Just to be on the safe side (nobody wants to replace an engine).

All right guys, his question was can you crank up the injection pressure, all the answers have to do with turning up the fuel I believe. Does turning up the fuel in fact have any effect on the injection pressure?

To actually increase the injection pressure you would have to shim or otherwise increase the spring tension on each individual injector.I beliexe the pop off press on the LDT in a deuce is between 2250 to 2300 psi. But you must have the correct test stand to properly set pressures for each injector.

I think the correct term for the adjustment, most commonly made here(SS) is actually what you would call "adjusting the fuel delivery rate"(measured as pounds of fuel per hour).

To adjust the injector pressure settings, would require removing the injectors and resetting the "pop off" setting to be higher than original. As far as I have read here, nobody has given info on doing this.

Does turning up the fuel in fact have any effect on the injection pressure?

exactly. I knew it would make sense. So when we turn up the fuel pressure not the delivery or pop off rate what does that actually do? Does it deliver more fuel, just less than there would be if we re did the pop off pressure?

So has anyone ever screwed with the 5ton multi fuel and turned that up etc? How much power are they getting?

Hay Dan Martin ... Not to hijack this thread but how are you pulling up old links?

I see they have "old" added to the link BUT ... I can't figure you how to get them out of my favorites so I can ad "old" and pull them up. When I click on SS links that I've previously files in my favorites I get a redirect to the curent posts page in the new site. I hope this makes sense.

I wrote support a few days ago asking how I can access SS link I've filed away in my IE favorites but haven't back from them. Maybe it was one of those questions that was too bumb to answer.

Any help would be appreciated as losing acess to all the links I've filed away is one BUMP I doNOT want to live with.

Thks
