intake/exhaust manifold

Got a replacement from a friend of mine, as mine is in sorry shape. But this one looks to have a defect, looks almost like a crack , but then again not like a crack almost like a grind mark, got a light behind it and could't see any light coming through. Get it welded up or forget about it?

Get another one if you can.

That looks like a crack to me, and I would guess it is just full of carbon(blocking your light).

Agreed , that will probably open up more once it is heated . You COULD try the NICKEL ROD weld job , but on that OLD cast iron usually doesn't work out well . Best bet is look for another manifold , good luck

John at Midwest is good people , always very helpful and he has LOTS of M37 parts and his prices are fair .
