Hello everyone,

we have a 1985 M923 that sometimes when you hit a bump a loud not quite grinding but more than a humming noise comes from the front end. The noise always goes away when I turn the wheel to the left. You can feel it through the floor, in the breaks and slightly in the steering wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a number of things with the "sometimes" category.

Cab mounts are too tight or worn out. Should be able to spin the bushings by hand.

You can use a infrared gun to check bearing Temps, front u joint Temps after driving to see if the Temps vary from side to side.
