Is it easier to install air conditioning in M1008 or M1009?

I would think it'd be the same either way. Aren't the two vehicles the same from the dash forward?

Easier in the 1008 because it has fewer windows and much less volume. Even with only two seats, cooling the rear of the 1009 is difficult in warmer locations.
There is enough room between the front seats for center console second evaporator. Yes, twin evaporators off one compressor. The in-dash is primary, always on. The rear unit has an electric valve for the liquid line to prevent flow unless the blower is running. This prevents icing.
